Terms of use

These terms cover use of this website and purchase of Freshers Cocktail Week wristbands. Please read them before you browse or pay.

About these terms

Freshers Cocktail Week is the trading name for this festival website and related services. These Terms of use (“Terms”) apply between you and Freshers Cocktail Week when you use fresherscocktailweek.co.uk (including any sub-pages) or buy a wristband. By using the site or completing a purchase you agree to these Terms and our Privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the site or buy from us.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this website and to buy or redeem a wristband. By using the site or placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or over.

The wristband

A wristband (or digital confirmation / code used to collect one) gives access to discounted cocktail offers at participating venues during the published edition dates for your chosen city, subject to these Terms and each venue’s own rules. It is not a cash voucher, open bar, or a guarantee of any specific drink, venue, offer, or number of visits. One wristband is for one person unless we say otherwise at checkout.

Venues and offers are subject to change

Participating venues, opening hours, menus, cocktail offers, and any printed or digital guide are illustrative and may change, be added, withdrawn, or substituted at any time - including for operational, commercial, licensing, weather, or venue reasons. A listing on this site or in marketing does not create a contractual right that a venue or offer will remain available. We will update city pages when we reasonably can. We are not liable if a venue drops out, changes its offer, runs out of stock, restricts entry, or applies its own conditions (including dress code, capacity, or ID checks).

Dates and festival changes

Edition dates and city line-ups are published in good faith and may be amended, postponed, shortened, or cancelled if needed. If we make a material change to the edition dates for your city, we will use reasonable efforts to email the address on your order. A change to venues or offers alone is not a material change entitling you to a refund.

Age, ID and venue rules

Venues may refuse service or entry without valid photo ID, or if they believe you are intoxicated, underage, or in breach of their house rules. That is between you and the venue and does not create a refund right against us.

Collection and use

Collection details are announced closer to each city edition and may change. Bring a valid confirmation code or wristband as instructed. Lost, stolen, damaged, or unused wristbands are not replaced or refunded except as a goodwill gesture we choose to offer. Codes are not for resale; we may void codes obtained through fraud or abuse.

Price, payment and booking fee

The price at checkout, plus any booking fee shown before payment, is what you pay. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Booking fees are non-discountable unless we say otherwise. Promotional codes, if offered, have their own conditions and may be withdrawn.

Refunds

Wristband purchases are non-refundable once complete, except where UK law requires otherwise or we cancel the entire city edition without a reasonable alternative. Venue changes, offer changes, change of plans, travel issues, or failure to collect do not entitle you to a refund. If payment fails, is duplicated, or confirmation does not arrive, email hello@fresherscocktailweek.co.uk with your order reference.

Acceptable use of the website

Content on this site (text, branding, imagery, layout and code) is protected by intellectual property rights. You may view it for personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy or use it commercially without our written permission, misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for unlawful or abusive purposes. Information you give us at checkout or in forms must be accurate.

Links and third parties

We may link to third-party sites (for example maps, social media, or payment pages). Those sites are not under our control and we are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Website availability

The website and related services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We aim to keep them working but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, and we may change or suspend parts of the site. You are responsible for your own device security when using the site.

Photography and media

Festival-related activity may be photographed or filmed by us or authorised partners. By attending a collection point or festival activity you acknowledge you may appear in crowd or background footage used for legitimate marketing. If you prefer not to be featured in close-up shots, tell a team member on the day - we will try to accommodate where practical.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy notice, which forms part of these Terms.

Liability

We organise the festival programme and sell wristbands; venues supply drinks and run their own premises. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for venue service, drink availability, or loss arising from venue decisions or the changes described above, or for events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under UK law. We are not liable for business losses or indirect or consequential loss.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page applies from the date it is published. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes (including non-contractual claims), except where UK consumer law gives you a right to bring a claim in your local courts.
